Mentoring

Mentorship Programmes

Numerous studies have concluded that mentoring relationships are a significant factor in succession planning, career development, skill development, as well as adding value to the implementation of diversity and employment equity plans.

Many companies are committed to people development. Mentoring relationships are increasingly seen as a practical way to carry out this commitment. Mentoring is best described in the following way:

# Mentoring is a process of forming a relationship between a more experienced, seasoned and wiser person (mentor) who helps and supports a less experienced person (mentee or protégé who is not the mentor’s direct report) develop in some specified capacity.

# Mentoring is both value and career-oriented. Value-oriented in that a mentee’s character and values are developed, and career-oriented because the mentee is taught the skills and given information that is relevant to his/her career.

In most organisations the implementation of mentoring is, much like employment equity and skills development, not a natural process.

Barriers within the business such as the current systems, methods and processes may impede the implementation of professional mentoring practices and principles.

We can support your organisation to implement an effective mentorship programme.

Coach Mentoring

At VYANZO we are committed to the development of new coaches and based on our years of experience in the coaching industry, we support coaches to develop their skills.

We provide a safe space for them to practice coaching and provide feedback to them on what their strengths are and which areas may need some development which allows them to take their skills to the next level

We have supported numerous internal coach development programmes by mentoring the internal coaches through regular mentoring and benchmarking sessions.

We are happy to support coaches in their individual capacity to develop both their skills and business plans as they grow from strength to strength.
